Our Client
Our Melbourne based client is a boutique accounting and advisory practice that specializes in operation and commercial finance. Acting as a CFO for companies up to AUD$20m in turnover, they are now seeking a Xero Accountant to support their business activities.
Your Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable
- Assist with daily account reconciliation.
- Maintain meticulous records of outstanding receivables.
- Monitor Remittance Mailboxes and process allocation.
- Assist with Aging Debt to follow-up on the outstanding invoices.
Bank Reconciliation
- Assist with daily bank reconciliation.
- Follow-up of any reconciling items in a timely manner.
- Ensure all supporting documentation provided.
Accounts Payable
- Process high volume of bills daily in accordance with defined procedures.
- Ensure accurate copies of invoices or correspondence necessary for files.
- Assist in reimbursements and allowances to employees.
- Supplier statement reconciliations monthly.
- Follow up any enquiries and problem resolution from both internal and external parties.
Other
- Resolve any accounting discrepancies and irregularities as requested.
- Do data entry
- Ad-hoc tasks requested by client, relating to the position.
Your Background
- At least 2 years of work experience in a related field is required for this position.
- Required skills: Unified Communications, logical thinking, organization, strong analytical skills, ability to summarize and allocate data, proactiveness, team player, great attention to detail, and being detail-oriented with a focus on speed and accuracy.
- 2-year experienced employee specializing in Clerical/Administrative Support or equivalent.
