How long have you been working here?
This October 25, 2019, I am marking three years and five months of working at Yempo.
What can Yempo employees contact you about?
They can reach out to me for anything, but it is usually about policy issues and various HR concerns such as benefits, compensation, shift schedules, discipline cases and the like.
Can you share any projects you are working on in 2019?
These top 3 things come to mind, namely:
- Updated Employee Handbook: Some of our policies and processes have been adjusted to better address the needs of our employees, while providing timely support for what the business requires.
- Survey on retirement/tenure benefits: We are always looking for ways to optimize retention for solid performers who have built a certain level of tenure with Yempo.
- Events and engagement activities: We shall be holding our major events for the last quarter of 2019 with exciting activities that all staff can truly look forward to.

What was a challenge you experienced at Yempo and how was it solved?
From a small organization with simple issues, I have seen Yempo evolve into a bigger company. With that growth came more complex HR issues. As we aim to keep a lean back-office team, constant change and creativity are required to consistently maintain the desired service levels.
What do you like best about Yempo’s culture?
The drive to achieve professional excellence in a very positive work environment. People here are genuinely motivated to do things based on what is right and fair.
Which core value (commitment, excellence, community) is the most important to you? Why?
It is hard to choose, but I would say commitment because it is reflective of trust and integrity, which pave the way for excellence and a stronger community.

More years with Yempo in whatever capacity that I could add value to.
